Mineral Description
Forsterite: Pulled boules grown by the Czochralski method, 250-300 Car. weight, sawn pieces also. Has an excellent color change from purple in daylight to blue in incandescent light.
I.R. - 1,635-1.67; H - 7.0; D - 3.24. Cutting angles: Pavilion - 40°; Crown - 40°.
Alexandrite (Chrysoberyl): Pulled boules grown by the Czochralski method, weight 300-500 Car.5-8 mm thick slabs weighting 20-30 to 100-200 Car. This material has an excellent color change from bluish green in daylight, to purplish-red in incandescent light.
I.R. - 1.74; H - 8.5; D - 3.75. Cutting angles: Pavilion - 42°; Crown - 40°.
Red Ruby:
Cylindrical boules up to 90 mm. in diameter, several kilos weight. Excellent bright red ruby color.
I.R.- 1.75; H-9.0; D-3.9-4.0. Cutting angles: Pavilion-42°; Crown-40°.
Corundum Padparadshah: Czochralski pulled boules up to 50 mm diameter and up to 1000 Car. weight. Very good pinkish-orange color. I.R.- 1.75; H-9.0; D-3.9-4.0. Cutting angles: Pavilion-42°; Crown-40°. .
